The chameleon lighted plugs are clear or colored toe plugs with a rainbow fading light in them. This affect causes the plugs to change to different colors. very cool. I want to start by saying that these are a novelty item and are for appearance and entertainment only. They will not stop you on the skating floor. ***** The lighted toe plugs must be removed from the skate to turn them on and off. The batteries are replaceable and each toe plug requires two CR927 batteries. There is also a small magnet that goes on top of the batteries before putting the cap on. Do not lose this magnet.*****
